👤 Patient Profile
A 38-year-old man from Italy living with Crohn’s Disease, experiencing chronic intestinal inflammation, complications with bowel function, and structural damage requiring surgical intervention.
🧬 Clinical Approach
In February and April 2024, the patient received a personalised allogeneic regenerative treatment programme at BioCells Medical. The therapy included:
Intravenous infusion of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs)
Administration of MSCs and purified exosomes for localised anti-inflammatory effect
All cell products were cultivated in BioCells Medical’s certified laboratory and administered under clinical supervision.
📈 Observed Results
Following the two treatment cycles, the patient underwent laboratory testing which confirmed:
Significant reduction in inflammatory markers
Visible clinical improvement, including decreased symptoms and improved intestinal function
These improvements allowed the surgical team to safely proceed with a planned bowel reconnection procedure (recanalisation), which had previously been postponed due to high inflammation risk.
🔁 Follow-up
The patient is recovering post-surgery with stable clinical indicators. No inflammatory relapse has been reported since the procedure. He remains under monitoring with continued support from the BioCells Medical care team.
